ABOUT US

Cooperativa Produttori Latte e Fontina was founded in 1957 to collect, mature, and bring to others the well-known produce of Aosta Valley, Fontina D.O.P. This venture started with only 46 founding partners. Now, over 200 companies, including dairy and mountain pasture cooperations, collaborate to offer the most authentic and traditional produce. Our mission started with less than 40,000 wheels of our beloved cheese, while today we are proud to have over 250,000.

Cooperativa has a turnover of around 20,000,000 euros. Most of the revenue comes from within Italy, especially in the North, making up about 80% of the total turnover, followed by the Italian midlands (centro d'Italia) (8%) and the South, which combined with the islands, represents 2% of the total turnover. It is worth mentioning that the biggest international markets make up approximately 10% of the total sales volume. These are the United States, Germany, Switzerland, France, Belgium, and the UK.
